Members of VFW Post 12180 teamed up with American Legion Post 516, to support the City of McDonough, Georgia, for the "Walk for Wheels” annual event held on September 16, 2023 to educate and foster public awareness of people living with spinal cord injuries, and to commemorate National Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month. The event began at 8:00 AM walking and rolling as a group from the Henry County Performing Arts Center at 37 Lemon St, McDonough GA around the McDonough Square and back. The event ended with guest speakers that delivered powerful messages of inspiration and empowerment to everyone.
