State of Georgia Governor 2019 Veteran's Day Proclamation Signing Representatives from VFW Post 12180 and a few other VFW Posts attended the 2020 Vetlanta Q4 Virtual Summit that focused on Women Veterans. Flag sky dive drop to start tournament for the 14th Annual Freedom Fighters Open golf tournament in 2020. Tournament helps raise money to provide gifts and scholarships to children of deployed military service members. Post members handed out flags, poppies, and Operation Gratitude bags. Bags went to Veterans. Joint memorial service between American Legion Post 516 in McDonough and VFW Posts in GA VFW District 3. Service held for Comrade Rudolph Archer who served in WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War and was one of the last remaining Tuskegee Airmen. Joint memorial service between American Legion Post 516 in McDonough and VFW Posts in GA VFW District 3. Post 12180 winner at post level for 2019 to 2020 that was submitted to the district for outstanding service as EMT/EMS for VFW Public Safety Awards. Post 12180 Jr. Vice Commander Doss dropped of a donation of a bag of coffee to help the crew of Fire Station 1 (Engine 51) keep going during the evening and late shifts. Officer T. Webb was selected by the National VFW Headquarters as the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for the 2019 to 2020 awards. Officer Webb is part of the Henry County Police Department in Georgia. His packet was submitted by VFW Post 12180 for his outstanding courage during a health and welfare check gone wrong. He and few other fellow officers were injured in the line of duty during the incident. Congrats Officer Webb on a job well done! Officer T. Webb was selected by the National VFW Headquarters as the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for the 2019 to 2020 awards. Officer Webb is part of the Henry County Police Department in Georgia. A post member stopped by Henry County Sheriff's Department to drop off a bag od candy for their trunk or treat on Oct 30, 2020 and a bag of Thin Blue Line coffee from Black Rifle Coffee Company. We love our local first responders and LEO! Post 12180 Senior Vice Commander Jordan, Service Officer Boldoe, and Trustee and Public Affairs Officer Schultz presented awards to our EMT and Firefighter of the Year from Clayton County Fire Department. Past Post 12180 Commander Wilbert Jordan, Quartermaster Betty Turner, and Post Service Officer Belinda Boldoe and Deanna Jordan VFW Post 6330 Auxiliary present post teacher of the year award to Janae Cohen. Henry County School teacher.  Saturday October 31 2020. Post Commander Gilbert leading from the front in the fight against the flu. Post JVC dropping off a little appreciation from Operation Gratitude to First Responders and Veterans that work at Henry County Fire Station 6. VFW Post 12180 and local community partners did a drive thru Christmas toy distribution for local community on 5 Dec 2020. Everyone was glad to see Santa and Mama Christmas. Mama Christmas is also an honorary City of McDonough Councilwoman.
